The greatest gift that Christians can give the Middle East is reconciliation

In Iraqi Kurdistan, Fr. Jens Petzold is dedicated to welcoming and helping Christians who have fled Iraq, fleeing persecution of the Islamic State. He belongs to the community of al-Khalil, the same one as the priest who was kidnapped in Syria, Paolo dal’Oglio.

He believes one of the greatest contributions that Christians can give the Middle East is reconciliation and helping people from different religions live in peace, which was happening until recently in Baghdad and Damascus.
