The only Chaldean priest in Turkey, a sign of hope for Iraqi Christians

Remzi Diril is a Chaldean priest who serves the Iraqi refugee community in Turkey. It is estimated that it is made up of 40,000 faithful and he is the only one available to administer the sacraments. This year, for example, he gave the first communion to 100 children.

Iraqi Chaldean Catholics are scattered around different cities, so Remzi Diril has to be constantly on the move to tend to all of them. He is a true roving priest.
