Cardinal Zenari, the current Apostolic Nuncio to Syria, visited the city of Aleppo, where he was reunited with the Christian community and the people from refugee camps. It was the Vatican’s first official duty after the end of the war in east Aleppo. This visit represents the Church’s closeness to all Syria’s Christians that have remained in their city and have contributed with their faith and presence to maintaining and increasing hope. This hope will be of future help for the reconstruction of the country and the peace between religions.
