Faith that persists

Hinna Parvez, a Pakistani girl who emigrated the UK for religious reasons and to further her education, describes in the following words:
“Terror will not invade us!
In Pakistan, the faith of only 1.5% of the Christian population is tested every day. Despite the intensified Christian persecution in Pakistan, the faith of the Christian minority is unshakable. Over the years, there has been a remarkable increase in suicide bomb attacks on the church buildings, spreading immense terror among the community. Nonetheless the number of church goers has not fallen. Pakistani Christians retaliate to the oppression by turning to God for His help. One of God’s blessing to His suffering church has been the rise in number of vocations to diocesan and religious priesthood.
What a great witness of authentic faith flourishing in ashes”.
