Even though persecution has threatened to wipe out the Church in Iran, several events show that the church’s growth in Iran has actually become one of the fastest in the world. In the last 20 years, more Iranians have become Christians than in the previous 13 centuries. What is the reason behind such an amazing growth?
First and foremost, the regime’s violence caused disillusionment between citizens and led Iranians to question their beliefs. Yet, despite being persecuted, Iranian Christians have decided to continue preaching their faith, creating more than one million people from a Muslim background to Christianity.
