“Every time I left home I said goodbye to my parents, because I didn’t know if I would see them again”

Waad Eesse and Fadi Essa, two Iraqi refugees hosted in a Mallorca Parish, tell their testimony at the Alberta Giménez Center, during a session that dealt with Christian persecution in the Middle East.

When they were still living in Iraq, they managed to live a normal life in a extremely difficult situation. For this reason, “we got used to living in that situation. Every time I left home I said goodbye to my parents, because I didn’t know if I would see them again.”
