Monsignor Jean-Clément Jeanbart, archbishop of Aleppo, believes that the revival of the Christian faith must begin in the East. The monsignor was preparing for his succession when the war broke out, so he decided to stay in Syria to help his people. “The first church was established in Syria. Then in Palestine, Christians who gathered here in public were banned. There is something very special about the Christians from Syria.” The archbishop of Aleppo has dedicated his life to establishing the permanence of Christians in Syria and fighting against the exodus that is taking place.
