One’s faith in Christ is the strength to keep going. These are the words of Nabil Antaki, a Christian doctor specializing in the digestive system. He is at the forefront of helping the hundreds of thousands of victims from the Syrian war. Antaki is a lay member of the Marist Fathers and is one of the few remaining in Aleppo.
“The healthcare system situation has improved in the last year,” Antaki says. This is even despite the effects of the embargo and sanctions, as well as the flight of 70 percent of medical specialists and 60 percent of primary care doctors.
