Jesuit Refugee Service brings hope to Qaraqosh

After visiting displaced Yezidis, Christians and Muslims from Mosul, Sinjar and Nineveh, Fr. Tony O’Riodan SJ was affected by the situation refugee families in Iraqi Kurdistan had experienced.

As a member of the Jesuit Refugee Service’s visiting team, the priest can observe training or medical needs, which allows him to connect with the communities’ members in a very special way.

He shared this hope for change with displaced youth in Qaraqosh during a Mass and picnic, where the environment of joy and love for live was undeniable, opening the way for peace in the future.
