Anglicans and Orthodox unite for persecuted Christians

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, made a three-day trip to Moscow, where he met Patriarch Kirill of the Russian Orthodox Church. Together, they called on the international community to give immediate help to Christians and other populations in the Middle East.

They thanked God for the encounter and the opportunity to be a voice for their persecuted brothers and sisters, as they refuse to remain indifferent to the suffering of these populations, the destruction of churches and the Christians’ expulsion from their homes.
