37,000 miles for persecuted Christians

In two years, Vicent Gelot has travelled on roads throughout the world in a Renault 4L in order to meet eastern Christians in Beirut (Lebanon). His “East Book” (Livre d’Orient) is a collection of clandestine testaments that are now being displayed in the Arab World Institute.

His goal was to arrive for Pope Benedict XVI’s visit in September 2012 in his car decorated by an artist friend, but the adventure dragged on for more than two years. Thirty-seven-thousand miles and 23 countries are compiled in his book, which has been presented in Paris.
