“I can’t remember peace.” An Iraqi priest’s hope for Christians in the Middle East.

Fr. Daniel, an Iraqi priest, asked children from Irbil (Iraq) what their dreams were. Their respons? Avenge everything ISIS did to them. This made him reflect on the education younger generations receive and the importance of forgiveness.

This region in the Middle East has always found itself in constant conflict, where Christians have always experienced a tense situation. Now, they finally have the opportunity to participate in the peacebuilding process, in which the Church has a large role to play.
