Helda’s return home

Christians persecuted by Daesh are beginning to return to their homes in Iraq. Helda Khalid Jacob Hindi is a 10-year-old girl who, together with her family, was forced to leave their village of Qaraqosh to escape the war.

“During the exile,” says Helda, “My family and I never stopped believing that God was with us.” And she appeals to Western countries “to help Christians as much as possible, because in Iraq they are close to extinction.”
