Why is it important to rebuild a parish after the war?

Fr. Patrick Abem is the priest of the future church of Boki (Nigeria) thanks to the support of the Roman Academic Center (CARF) and the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome, where he studied. This new church aims to serve the 700 Catholics who live in this region.

The church’s purpose is to support the community that was devastated by the war, and begin a process of reconciliation and reintegrating people. It will also serve as a testimony of the presence of God and be a place of peace in the community.
