10 years after his death, Bishop Rahho is an example for Iraqi Christians

In recent years the Iraqi church has had a large number of martyrs, “who have sacrificed their lives to defend the faith.” These are the words of Bishop Yousif Thoma Mirkis, Bishop of Kirkuk on the 10th anniversary of the death of the Bishop of Mosul, Bishop Paul Faraj Rahho.

“We have to try to make this sacrifice recognized by the Church, we are working to deliver a dossier to the Congregation for the Causes of Saints.” For us Christians in Iraq, it is important that his death be remembered, because it is a testimony of the Christian presence on this Earth.”
