In Senegal, Christians and Muslims live together in peace.

 

“If the understanding between Christians and Muslims in other countries were the same as in Senegal, there would be peace in the world,” says Fr. Flavio Facchin. In recent years, they have organized numerous initiatives on the social, educational, health and sports fronts.

This coexistence that is characteristic of Senegal, is due to the fact that this area of Africa is composed of many, diverse ethnic groups. They each have a strong sense of hospitality, one of the most distinctive features of society, which is now at risk because of the regional situation.
