Sahima lost half of her face on December 11, 2016, during a terrorist attack. At the beginning, everyone thought she was dead. Doctors had lost all hope in her ever recovering, which is why the progress she has made has been so difficult.
Despite this, she says her faith tells her to forgive. When reading the Sermon on the Mount, she remembers that we must forgive our enemies. If she ever got to meet her attacker’s family, she would only ask one question: Do you know Jesus?
