The situation at refugee camps in Uganda is dire. It’s confirmed by Lorena Ortiz, a Comboni Missionary Sister, who warns of the severe conditions of refugees who arrive from South Sudan. There are not many opportunities for young people to continue their studies, while the situation of the sick is also difficult, as the appropriate medicines don’t always arrive and there are not enough to tend to everyone.
The Comboni Sisters organize prayer services and Bible readings, maintaining the flame of faith, trusting in Christ despite difficulties. They also manage microcredit projects to help women organize small activities related to agriculture and commerce.
