The nun that allowed herself to be kidnapped instead of another

Fifteen months ago, they kidnapped Sister Gloria, a Colombian nun from the Franciscan order who was living in Mali.

When the kidnappers arrived at the convent, Sister Gloria told them to take her instead of the youngest nun. They accepted. “We look at her like a hero, because she turned herself in for the youngest nun,” explains Sister Janet, one of the nuns who was living with her.
