Sr. Maria Laudis Gloriae is one of the three sisters from the Institute Servants of the Lord and the Virgin of Matará who lives in Aleppo. In a video produced by Persecuted Nazarenes, she offers her testimony and tells the current situation in this Syrian city.
“There is no work, people do not have money,” the nun says. “In Damascus there were numerous attacks: in one of our churches, in the Latin Church and in the Maronite.”
Commenting on the strength and faith of Syrian Christians, she says: “We who are missionaries are the ones who should lead by example, but during all this time, we have received great testimonies from the people who are here, from the Christians.”
