“We live in the same country, we share the same air and daily bread. We have the same destination: our future will be together or there will be none.” That’s how Sheikh Abdel Latif Darian, a mufti from the Lebanese Republic, describes the relationship between Muslims and Christians.
During the graduation ceremony of more than 350 students from Makased high schools, private Lebanese Muslim schools, the mufti emphasized the fundamental Christian presence in the Middle East.
He defined the terrorism of attacks on Christians as a crime against society. In addition, the mufti called any act promoting Christian emigration as “criminal.”
