Iraq, a special Lamborghini to help Christians

At the end of 2018, the Lamborghini car manufacturer donated a “Huracan” to Pope Francis. After the auctioning of the car, the pope, in turn, decided to donate some of the proceeds to the foundation “Aid to the Church in Need.” A donation of 200,000 euros which ACN will use to help finance two new projects for Christian families returning to the Nineveh Plain, after the military defeat of the Islamic State.

“Today ACN- say President Alfredo Mantovano and Director Alessandro Monteduro – in union with the pope will help finance the reconstruction of two structures within the Syro-Catholic Church destroyed by terrorists. These are a kindergarten dedicated to the Virgin Mary and the parish’s multipurpose center.

However, not only that, “the two projects financed by the Lamborghini proceeds will also benefit other minorities in the area. This is because the multipurpose center is capable of accommodating over a thousand people; and will be used for weddings as well as religious festivals of different communities. It will be the largest center in the area; and will be available to over 30,000 inhabitants of different ethnic groups and faiths.”
