Olivier Giroud, Europa League winner, provides help to persecuted Christians

On May 19, the association French Connect and Plus Que Sportifs, organized a charity event in solidarity with persecuted Christians and in support of NGO Open Doors and Holistic Sports.

The event was attended by players such as Olivier Giroud, Lucas Moura, David Alcibiades and Paul-José M´Poku, who wanted to raise awareness of the current situation of persecuted Christians around the world.

“It is unimaginable to see so many persecuted Christians in today’s world. It’s incredible to have numbers like that. We have to talk about it. There needs to be more awareness,” Giroud said.

The event included various concerts and testimonies from persecuted Christians in North Africa, ending with an auction of sporting goods.
