Now, more than ever before, international communities need to defend religious freedom. According to Aid to the Church in Need (ACN), persecution is moving from the Middle East to Africa and Southeast Asia.
ACN’s 2019 edition of “Persecuted and Forgotten” highlights that in many of these persecuted areas, Christianity might not survive.
Although there are more than 300 million Christians living in persecuted lands, persecution has begun decreasing in Syria and Iraq. Despite this decrease, ACN stressed that the national powers must defend religious freedom before it’s too late.
