Brazil calls for a defense of religious freedom following assassination of persecuted Christians in Nigeria

The Brazilian government said in a public announcement that it is necessary to combine forces to preserve religious freedom around the world. In the text, published at the end of 2019, he called attention to persecuted Christians in different zones in Africa and Asia.

He circulated the message after the killing of 11 Christians that had been detained by the Islamic State in West Africa (ISAW) went public on Dec. 25. “(Brazil) is committed in a special way to raising the international community’s awareness of the persecution suffered by Christians around the world and of the overwhelming need to combat that infamous type of violence,” says the announcement.
