COVID-19 wasn’t the first reason for some Christians to go into isolation. Many have been isolated for years because of religious persecution. Despite everything, these Christians trust in God, and they know from experience that they’re not alone. That’s why they always look for ways to share love and peace.
In Indonesia, Naomi, a Christian woman, is a clear example of this. Upon finding herself out of work because of confinement, she looked for ways to help. She started using her sewing machine to make masks and distribute them to her neighbors and the people who attended the local church.
The Indonesian Christian community was very grateful for Naomi’s contribution. One local business offered her a contract so she could sell her masks and use the earnings to meet her family’s needs during the isolation period.
