A Boko Haram terrorist repents of his crimes against Christians

“I realized that what I was doing was hellish. We were killing, stealing, taking people away from their belongings and all this for religious reasons…” These are the words of Bama Umar, a former member of the terrorist group Boko Haram, who for seven years has been attacking Nigeria and Cameroon.

The ex-terrorist decided to leave Boko Haram after listening to a BBC news about the atrocities he had committed. While his decision many not seem to make a difference given how many Christians in Nigeria have suffered and continue to suffer, Bama Umar’s words can help lead Christians to forgive.
